Dr. Milan Mashanovitch of Freedom Photonics presented an invited paper on widely tunable lasers and integrated optical transmitters at the IEEE Photonics Conference in Reston, Virginia, held from October 4-8, 2015. For the first time, details of Freedom Photonics’ patented TuNIT tunable interferometric transmitter were discussed.

Freedom Photonics LLC will move from its current facilities to a new location, at 41 Aero Camino, in Santa Barbara, in the beginning of October. The new, significantly expanded facility will allow for further increase of the production volume and support of manufacturing of new products being developed, as well as the future company growth.
Dr. Johansson, a general manager and co-founder of Freedom Photonics will be presenting an invited paper on photonic integration in Indium Phosphide at the IEEE Photonics Conference in October 2014. Freedom Photonics has released a new product suitable for efficient test and control of photonic and electronic integrated circuits. The USB powered, USB controlled module provides 9 different output currents, with individual channel voltage monitoring and compliance capabilities. A custom software running on a Windows platform controls the module through the same USB connection.
